The Product


Easy Walk is addressed to the blinds and to the people with sight disabilities, in order to provide them with general assistance and to allow them to move autonomously.
The following features characterize EasyWalk system:
  • Customer localization
  • Real-time transmission of geographic location to a Call Center
  • Telephone assistance across regional and national territory
  • Back Office ASP application for the support management

Easy Walk service includes mobile phones for customers, mobile phone software to perform the described functionalities, application for the Call Center operators. In particular, EasyWalk mobile phones are set with special features triggered when pressing some keys.

The ‘Arrow Key down’ allows the customer to automatically get the information needed for pedestrian mobility thanks to the GPS technology. Thanks to the vocal technology set-up on the device, known as ‘text-to-speech’, the directions are automatically converted in a speech. In this case the Call Center Operator doesn't interact with the customer.

The ‘Arrow Key up’ allows the Call Center operator to identify customer localization and visualize on the monitor the personal data. The system obtains the most precise customer address based on the “Reverse Geocoding” algorithm. The customer is visualized on the Operator application map of the local area.

The customer communicates by voice his request, for example to reach the nearest pharmacy (it may be a specific address, the railway station, etc). The Operator looks for the nearest “pharmacy” by clicking at the pharmacy icon on the map. The system automatically creates the walking path starting from the customer current position to the pharmacy. At that point the Operator guides the customer by voice towards the final destination. The Operator keeps track and maintains visibility on the map of the customer during the path. The directions on the path are visualized on the back office interface of the system.
